Enter to Win a "Killer Klowns From Outer Space" Poster Signed by The Chiodo Brothers!

(Poster Art by WeHolden)

Hey everyone I'm back with another contest, this time around I'm teaming up with Josh Goldbloom of the The Awesome Fest to give you a chance to win a custom poster from their upcoming "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" 25th Anniversary Screening!
This screening is taking place at the Philadelphia PARX Casino on Saturday August 17th at 9pm with The Chiodo Brothers in attendance along with some props and costumes from the movie!

I always loved the bizarre nature of Klowns . . . The Nightmareish Sets, the Tongue-in-cheek Deaths, the Hammy Acting . . . beside being one my favorite Horror Comedy, it also played a major part in making me a fan of  both B-movies and Cult Films! Without films like Killer Klows there would be no SMF!

So Here's All You Have All You Have To Do Enter . . .

First I ask for you to please like The Awesome Fest's Facebook Page (LINK) then after doing that come back to this Contest Page and Answer In THE Blog's Comments Section Below both or one of these questions "What's Your Favorite Scene in Killer Klowns is." or "Who's your favorite Clown in Cinema or Literature?"

That's All There Is To It!

The Deadline for this Give-A-Way is Midnight August 15th!
So have your entry in by then and please also include your Email Address or How to Contact You in your Comment, that way I can reach you if are the Winner (and also if you want the poster personalized by the Chiodo Brothers or not!)

All entries will be given a Number and a Winner will be picked out using the Quick Random Number Generator on my phone, so best of luck and thanks playing!

BTW Don't forget to enter our "Fright Night" Poster Giveaway! (Link)

My Blobfest 2013 Recap!

This past weekend I headed up to "BlobFest" in Phoniexville, Pa on Friday to meet up with my Maryland friends Jeff, Kat, Katy, and Jason. It should have been a half hour ride for me from Center City but because of traffic on 76 and a Crazy Thunderstorm it ended up taking well over 2 Hours to get to the Hotel we were meeting up at . . . total bummer! The original plan for them was to do the famed Runout from the The Colonial Theatre, but since it  was still raining well into the night we skipped that and just got our drink on that night at Molly Maguires Irish Pub!

Saturday morning was the day of the Street fair on Bridge Street, the street was close off for a few blocks for Vendors, Classic Cars, Costume Contests, and a Parade! To give you an idea of what that was like check out these pics Chris took of the outside fair right ( HERE )

Wrestlers and Fanny Packs . . . It Doesn't Get More American Than This!

While paging through my SummerSlam 1990 Program I noticed this ad for an "Ultimate Warrior" Fanny Pack!
That ad got me thinking . . . what's the deal with Wrestlers and Fanny Packs? From the Wrestlers of the 80s to even some of today's stars, there are so many pics floating around the internet with them wearing these ridiculous looking things! Was it fashion statement or just a place to hide their steroids? I think Bobby "The Brain" Heenan said it best in his book, when he spotted one of the Wrestlers wearing one, he'd pull the guy aside and ask, "Do you want to get laid tonight?" The guy would invariably answer in the affirmative, and Bobby would say, "Take that off and stuff it down the front of your pants!"
Any way here's a gallery of Wrestlers Wearing Fanny Packs, along with a Special "Who Wore It Better" Contest at the End of the Post!

Enter to win a custom poster of 1988's The Blob!

When I think of all the Horror remakes that we bombarded with over the years, there's a small list of them that I like just as much as the film it's a remake of! One such film is 1988's "The Blob", the original Blob is a campy but lovable B-movie and a product of it's time. But then again so is the 80's version . . . it's Nasty, Violent, Unforgiving, and has some Sweet Mullet Action courtesy of Kevin Dillon! For the next two weekends The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, Pa will be celebrating both the 1958 Blob and for the first time it's 80s counterpart!

Next Weekend (July 12 & 13) is their Annual "Blobfest", since part of the original Blob was filmed in and around the area (including the classic movie theater scene that was shot in the Colonial!), the whole town celebrates with a parade and street fair! You can read my recap from last year's Blobfest right HERE.

But before all of that can happen, this Friday July 5th the 1988 Blob will be playing as part of The Colonial's monthly "First Friday Fright Night" series, a rare chance to see this movie in 35mm once again! The poster you see at the top of the page is done by artist Charles Moran aka Zomic (Visit his Webstore HERE) and at the event I am grabbing an extra poster off of Chuck for this very SMF Poster Give-a-Way . .

So Here's All You Have All You Have To Do Enter . . .

First I ask for you to please check out some of Charles' Art Work HERE, then after doing that come back to this Contest Page and Answer In THE Blog's Comments Section Below both or one of these questions "Who you you most like to see eaten by The Blob?" (Celebrities, Sports Figures, etc) or "What your favorite Blob Scene is from the Series." (Yes 1972's "Beware! The Blob" counts!)

That's All There Is To It!

The Deadline for this Give-A-Way is Midnight July 15th, so have your entry in by then and please also include your Email Address or How to Contact You in your Commens, that way I can reach you if are the lucky one that's escaped The Blob!
All entries will be given a Number and a Winner will be picked out using the Quick Random Number Generator on my phone, so best of luck and thanks playing!
